Evaluation

In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products.

Our thriller uses conventions of the thriller genre. For example we use short clips and dramatic of key sound to put the audience on edge and to feel uncomfortable. We also use flashbacks which is a conventional aspect of the thriller genre. We challenge the conventions of real media products by the narrative of the thriller, by showing the truamatic event first and then showing the character's life afterwards.

How does your media product represent particular social groups?

Our thriller represents negatively on teenage social groups who our represented as violent, drug-addicted people. However we do try the make the audience feel sorry for the main character as he his traumatized

What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?

A british distribution company might distribute our media product because it is set in Britain and about Britain. A company such as Channel 4 films, Film Four and BBC Films. As the thriller is british it would appeal to audiences in Britain

Who would be the audience for your media product?

It would be aimed at primarily the young adult consumer, and therefore give it a certificate fiveteen with some more mature content such as drugs useage and possibly some more violent themes revolving around the drugs underworld.

How did you attract /address your audience?

We started our piece with high speed acytion style shots which created some mystery and hpoopefully will serve to intrigue the audience and also capture their attention hopefully keeping them engaged on the piece. We also concentrated on some themes which maybe more relevant to the younger adult audience such as the theme of drugs.
