What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?
We have learnt to use Garage Band proficiently. Due to the new sector of the corse, we had to use copy free sounds. This meant making our own music on Garage Band. By making our own music it gave us the opportunity to score the music, to fit with the film. Apart from that, the rest of the technology we used we already knew how to use. However it was more a case of expanding our knowledge, to encorporate what we had invisaged in the original planning setions. This was basically the understanding of different types of effects we could place on both the visual and audio footage we had.
Looking Back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?
As a group the main thing we have learnt is to get more footage than really needed. We had a problem with the preliminary task, because we didn't quite get all the footage we needed. The same thing happened when we filmed are real thing, however that was due to running out of time. Another thing we learnt was, it's much harder to make your own music. Also how important detailed storyboarding was. We had ruff ideas of the story in the preliminary task, but ended up making must of it up. The small things we learnt from the task before hand, really helped to make the final product run as smoothly as possible.
